frequently asked questions

Appointments & Scheduling

Do I need to be an existing patient to schedule an appointment?

No. New patients are always welcome. You can call our office or request an appointment online.

What if I have a dental emergency?

If you’re experiencing pain, swelling, or a dental emergency, please call our office as soon as possible. We do our best to offer same-day emergency appointments.

What if I’m running late?

We can accommodate patients who arrive up to 10 minutes late. If you expect to be later than that, please call our office as soon as possible. Arrivals beyond 10 minutes may require rescheduling so we can remain respectful of other patients’ time.

Appointment Confirmation Policy

Do I need to confirm my appointment?

Yes. We require appointment confirmation 48 hours in advance.

You will receive a confirmation request by text, email, or phone. If we do not receive confirmation within this time frame, we may not be able to hold your appointment and it could be released to another patient.

Confirming on time helps us keep our schedule running smoothly and allows us to accommodate patients who need care.

New Patients & Registration

What should I expect at my first visit?

Your first visit includes a comprehensive exam, any necessary imaging, and a discussion of your oral health and goals. We take time to explain findings and answer questions.

Do I need to complete forms before my appointment?

Yes. New patients receive digital registration forms prior to their visit. Completing them ahead of time helps reduce wait times and allows Dr. Soni to review your information in advance.

What should I bring to my appointment?

Please bring a photo ID, insurance information (if applicable), and any recent dental records if available.

Insurance & Payment

Do you accept dental insurance?
We are in-network with most major dental insurance plans and file claims on your behalf as a courtesy. If your plan is out of network, we are still happy to work with your insurance and submit claims on your behalf as a courtesy.

Will you give me an estimate before treatment?

Yes. We provide estimates based on the insurance information you provide. These are estimates only—final coverage is determined by your insurance provider.

Does insurance decide what treatment I receive?
No. Insurance coverage varies by plan and does not determine whether treatment is necessary. Dr. Soni recommends care based on your oral health needs—not insurance limitations.

When is payment due?
Payment is due at the time of service. Patients are responsible for all charges incurred for services rendered.

No Insurance & Membership Plan

What if I don’t have dental insurance?

No insurance, no problem. We offer the Equinox Membership Plan, a dental savings plan designed to make preventive care and treatment more affordable. Ask our team for details.

Do you offer payment plans?

We do not offer in-office payment plans, but we partner with trusted third-party financing companies to provide flexible monthly payment options.

Comfort & Technology

I’m anxious about dental visits—can you help?

Absolutely. We offer a calm environment, gentle care, clear communication, and nitrous oxide (laughing gas) for patients who need extra comfort.

What technology do you use?

Our office uses digital X-rays, CBCT imaging, intraoral scanners, intraoral cameras, and AI-assisted X-ray analysis to support accurate diagnosis and treatment planning.

Treatment Philosophy

Do you pressure patients into treatment?

No. We believe in informed, conservative care. Treatment recommendations are based on what’s best for your long-term oral health, and decisions are always made with you.

What if it’s been years since my last dental visit?

You’re welcome here. We take a judgment-free approach and focus on helping you move forward comfortably—at your pace.

Still Have Questions?

If you have additional questions or need clarification, our team is always happy to help.
